POPIA Section 69 — Direct Marketing Consent

This clause explains how Fit4 Padel (Pty) Ltd processes your personal information when you consent to receive marketing emails about Padel Vista. It is drafted in accordance with section 69 of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), which governs direct marketing by electronic means.

1. Purpose of this consent

When you set up your account you are offered an optional tickbox. Ticking it gives your voluntary, informed and explicit consent for Fit4 Padel (Pty) Ltd to send you marketing emails about Padel Vista.

The tickbox is unticked by default, you can finish setting up your account without it, and leaving it unticked has no effect whatsoever on your use of Padel Vista.

We use only the email address already on your account — the one you signed in with. Nothing additional is collected in order to market to you.

4. Your rights under POPIA section 69

We honour any opt-out request without delay, as POPIA requires. Unsubscribing stops marketing email only — it does not affect sign-in emails, which are not marketing and are how you get into your account.

When you opt out we keep the consent record and mark it withdrawn rather than deleting it. That record is what proves both that consent was given and that your opt-out was honoured. Erasure of the record itself is a separate request under section 24 of POPIA — email us and we will deal with it.
